Oh the days when I used FLStudio.....

I enjoyed this very much. I could tell it was supposed to be a sad or depressing song from the start. Very good job expressing the emotion of the song.

Very beautiful...

Definately has promise. Keep working on it.

I heard a few spots where you must've hit the wrong key, but I only counted 2.

I'd recommend a ribbon mic on a boomstand above the piano (position above the piano depends on what kind - ie miniature grand or bookshelf piano), plus it being in a room with minimal reverb. Plus, I'd recommend mastering the volume a bit because it gets loud & distorts very badly at the parts where you're pushing the emotion of the song. The melody, however, is very beautiful as I said, and I look forward to hearing the rest.

4/5 and 9/10.....until I hear the finished piece ; )

Thank you for your constructive comments!

My church has this truly epic baby grand that I'm planning on playing the next recording version on. It sounds fantastic in the sanctuary. As for the ribbon mic, i might have to just make do with my laptop sitting at my side because i don't know if I'll be able to set up a mic for my own personal usage, since I'm already pushing the envelope by using the piano without permission.

And yes, i messed up two or three times. That'll get ironed out and go away in the next version. Thanks again for listening and for your comments! I truly appreciate them!

Definately a good piece! I agree with dgple before me, sounds very realistic! Well composed, the sections of the song are pretty well defined, and everything sounds great!

Very nice! I LOVE the drums you have in this. I wish I could come across some good drum samples for my compositions. I couldn't find anything I didn't like about this piece! 10/10 and 5/5

PS: Check out some of my music if you're willing. I could use some more critiques and advice. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the review, and there are a lot of good quality samples out there, just invest in a rapidshare account and you can usually download them online. Mind you it isn't exactly legal but most of us can't afford buying the actual collection, myself included, seeing as those are usually a above a few hundred dollars.

And I'll be sure to check out some of your music.

Excellent composition my fellow artist! I LOVED the drums in the beginning. And the brass was done quite well! I MUST ask what kind of setup you use to compose this music (software, hardware, etc) because I am trying to get some of these same sounds into my music, particularly those DRUMS! I've needed some good drum samples for a long time. A lot of my songs have suffered for the lack of a good symphonic drum library. Check out some of my music if you're willing. Anyway....

Excellent piece!

Could be improved...

While this song does sound kinda cool, it could really use some mastering....and some parts, like japetheape said, don't fit together. Plus the kicks get a bit overpowering when you have that series of 4 beats really close eardrums are still feeling a bit sore from hearing that first set. Needs some improvement. Other than that, it's okay.

This song... DEFINITELY AWESOME! I LOVED the intro. The progression in the song just blew me away! I DL'ed it, fav'd, and will be playing this over HLSS in my Counter Strike: Source server.

BTW: You should check out some of my music. It may not be your kind of thing, but methinks you will like it. Trust me. ; )

Vera vera nass!

I definitely liked the progression of this song. It almost makes me want to makes me want to play while listening to this song, and PWN some n00bs!

PERVOK responds:

I thought it was a little awkward at first because it's sad and slow at the beginning, but then it jumps right into party mode. It grew on me very quickly and I was hoping the same for everyone else :P

Thanks for the review!

I definately like it, but....

...the kick is just a BIT too strong for my taste. My eardrums feel like they got assaulted by massive amounts of bass because of those kicks. Other than that, I loved it!

It's pretty good but... needs some serious mastering done to it. The bassline and the kick drum almost meld together because they're a little TOO present. I could barely tell the difference between the bassline & the kick. Other than that, I definitely liked it.

Mrmilkcarton responds:

I need to redo this song. This was back when I was still understanding alot of stuff. Ton of work is needed.
